After last year’s summer of very little mission outreach, this summer’s schedule is very busy.
- Ben Kirkland will be serving in Alaska June 5—July 22.
- Jeremy will be leading a team to serve in Guatemala June 14-18. Those who will be serving are: Sam Kirkland, Rachel Kirkland, Christopher McClure, Wanda McClure, Amy & Jeremy Richey.
In June, two mission teams will be using the Family Life Center as a “home base” while conducting mission work. The teams will be doing their mission work in the mornings and will return each afternoon and evening to the FLC for food and rest.
- A team of about 30 from East End Baptist Church in Columbus, MS, will be staying each evening at the FLC from Thursday, June 17 through Saturday, June 19. This team will be bringing a trailer containing portable VBS equipment and will be providing a VBS experience to a neighborhood in DeSoto County. Former FBC Batesville members, Mike and Mary Goolsby, plan to be on this team.
Also in June, Kyle Brassell will be bringing a small team to Batesville to assist with a special VBS outreach at The Grace Place. Bro. Kyle currently serves as student minister at Indian Springs Baptist Church near Birmingham. He formerly served as children’s minister here at FBC Batesville, prior to marrying Jordan Potts. Jordan continues to study physical therapy at UAB, and the couple now makes their home in Birmingham. Kyle’s team will be using the FLC from Sunday, June 20 through Thursday, June 24.
