“God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.” This is a saying that I have heard for many years, and for Christians it is so true each and every day. The goodness of God is better expressed by the words in Lamentations 3:22,23: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your Faithfulness.
This verse of scripture reminds me of many friends in Port St. Joe, FL who lost so much when hurricane Michael came ashore a few weeks ago. Hearing so many stories from the people there is heartbreaking. The ones we know end their story by sharing how thankful they are. They are most thankful that none of their family was injured or worse, killed. Many families still cannot return to their homes because those homes were completely destroyed or are without electricity and/or water. It will take months or maybe years for this area to return to normalcy. I ask that you pray for all whose lives were forever changed by this hurricane.
Pray that God will lead, and they will follow knowing how, when, and where to take the salvageable pieces of their lives and start afresh and anew. May their testimonies of God’s goodness reach those who don’t know Jesus as their Savior.
