I really like one of the slogans of Upward Sports, which is this: “We are in a race to bring the gospel to the heart of a child.” Our godless culture is always promoting harmful lies that would confuse and hurt children, so as witnesses of Christ we need to diligently seek opportunities to get the gospel to the impressionable hearts of young children before they are led astray by the “stinking thinking” of this fallen world.
Though we are not able to have our Upward basketball season this year, I am thankful to report we do have some children’s ministries that are picking up momentum! Bro. Kyle does an outstanding job with children’s church and with the Wednesday night activities. Parents, I strongly advise you to make it a point to get your child into those classes whenever you can. A lot of Bible flows out of Kyle into the children!
Also, The Grace Place children’s ministry is gathering momentum as well. About 30 children–kids who are at risk and in need of love and support–come to the GP on Mondays through Thursdays from 3-6 p.m. and receive food, love, and spiritual truth!
for children to enjoy when they have completed their homework, bring them by the church office. I will get them to The Grace Place.
So that’s this month’s word from me: let’s pour out prayer for our children and pour in spiritual truth from God’s Word!
