To My Church Family,

Pastor Nery Espinal & Family

Honduran family receiving a Bible, held by their daughter

This month, I want to specifically thank the First Baptist Church family for being a “sending” church and a “giving” church. I have just returned from a short-term mission trip to Honduras that was blessed with much fruit, and our team saw the power of God bring revival to the town of Erandique, Honduras. Many came to faith in Jesus Christ and were saved, and many who had strayed came back to the Lord Jesus Christ. The little Baptist church there, and its pastor, will be busy for months following up on the decisions that were made. Hallelujah!

One of the biggest factors in me getting to go preach for this team is our church’s financial investment in short-term missions. As funds are available, First Baptist assists with up to half of the cost of the expense of these missions. For me, this support from our missions committee was the main way that God chose to make the opportunity possible. Thus, our church is blessed and will be blessed to have been used by God to bring revival to an area that was hungry for God’s love, truth and especially the gospel!

May we continue to give and support missions at the highest level possible. Because life is short, and because every day could be the day that our Lord Jesus Christ returns for His church, we are in a limited time opportunity to serve our Savior by getting out the gospel and getting out the Word of God. Let’s make every day count! Thank you for your support of revival in Honduras!

In Christian love,
John
