Bus Rider’s Testimony:
I want to share with you what God has done for me. When I was younger, I loved going to church more than anything in the world. One day we moved, so I didn’t get to go very often. I was sad lots of times, my family was drifting apart, my grades were falling, and I started hanging out with the wrong types of people. Then one day a lady was trying to get children to go to church. I was so scared of what the other kids might think, so I didn’t go. One night before I went to sleep, I was thinking. Is this me? Is this the person I want to be? I went to sleep, and the next day my mother said we were moving to Batesville. I met some new friends. Then one day a man from a church invited us to his church. I was nervous and scared at first. Then we got on the bus and the bus driver was very nice and treated us like we were his family. When we got to the Sunday School class, I was scared and thought people were going to be judgmental. Then a Sunday School teacher greeted me and everyone was so nice. I felt so welcomed and like I was at home.
When we went to the bigger church, I felt that missing piece in my body. I had forgotten God’s word and how much it meant to me. I was so happy to be back in the house of God. I loved the way the preacher preached and how nice the bus driver’s wife was. She was like a mother to me—a mother that I never had—a mother that I was grateful to have.
My church family is like my real family. They show love to me . God is my Savior. He is my Abba. He is my everything. This is my story.
