An exciting 2018 is shaping up, as we see ministries directly connected to Dr. Charles Roesel’s challenge to our church last June now coming to life.

The first ministry to result from our commitment to ministry evangelism is Restoring Hope, which came to life in late 2017 and continues to serve 24 very needy families with support and spiritual outreach. We are seeing God at work in the lives of these families.

Now it is time to launch Celebrate Recovery. After more than 15 weeks of training each Sunday afternoon, a steadfast team of about 20 will welcome those dealing with “hurts, habits and hangups” to our Monday night CR meetings, which will be held beginning at 6 p.m. each Monday in Lee Chapel. We will be providing sandwiches, biblical instruction, small group support, and most of all — the good news of Jesus Christ — to those who are hurting and recovering from the wounds of living in this sin – sick world.

You will soon be hearing an exciting, specific update on the Grace Place, which is a newly – formed ministry with a vision of providing benevolence, emergency housing, and the gospel to the poor and broken lives in our backyard here in Panola County.

Pray and be sensitve to where God would have you invest tme and resources into outreach into our community. I am convinced that we are on the threshold of experiencing revival in our church and in our country.

In Christian love,

John
